How it works: Moiki EDU in 4 steps

Build your first interactive story in 15 minutes. Visual editor, safe sharing, progress tracking. Discover Moiki EDU step by step.

From creating an account to reviewing results, Moiki EDU is quick to pick up. Here are the four steps to get started.

1. Create your account

Go to edu.moiki.app and create your teacher account. An email address, a password, and you are on your way.

Free: the Free plan gives access to the complete editor, with no time limit. Enough to create and test your stories as much as you like.
No bank card: no payment method is asked for to get started.
Immediate access: your first story as soon as the account is confirmed.

Where your school uses a digital workspace connected to Moiki, you can reach Moiki EDU straight from it, without creating a separate account.

2. Build your story

The editor is built on a node graph: each node is a step in the story, each link is a choice offered to the reader. You build the story by dragging, dropping and connecting nodes.

For each node, you can:

Write the text: narrative, descriptions, dialogue.
Add images and sounds to set the mood.
Define choices that lead to other nodes.
Use variables to remember the reader's decisions and adapt what follows (a score, a character's state, a progression).
Manage an inventory: the reader picks up and uses objects.
Set conditions: a choice or a node only appears if a condition is met (a variable reached, an object held, a code entered).

Everything is done visually, without writing code. The interface is available in several languages.

3. Share your story

Once the story is ready:

Direct link or QR code: anyone can open the story in their browser, with no account and no installation. Available from the Free plan onwards.
Class code: your students join a class so you can follow their progress. The free plan covers one class and up to 35 students; beyond that you need an Eco or Master plan.
Through your school portal: where the integration is available, students find the story in their school's digital workspace (Master plan).
Shared catalogue: publish your story to make it available to other teachers.

No installation: a browser is enough, on computer, tablet or phone.

4. Follow their progress

The dashboard shows you where each student stands:

Progress: how far the student has gone in the story.
Choices made: which decisions were taken at each branch.
Time spent on the story.

This data helps you spot struggling students and the passages that block them. It is also useful material in class: analysing the choices together opens the discussion.

Free, up to what point?

The Free plan lets you create as many stories as you like and share them by link: anyone can play them, with no account. It is ideal for exploring the tool and getting started.

The free plan takes a class project all the way through: one class, up to 35 students, one reading session and one writing session per school year, with progress tracking.
