Discovering the school library and career guidance: playful paths to guide students

The school library is a central place, but students often overlook how much it offers. With Moiki EDU, school librarians build interactive discovery paths.

The school library is a central place in any school, but students often overlook how much it offers. With Moiki EDU, school librarians build interactive paths that turn a library visit into a treasure hunt, the discovery of resources into an adventure, and career guidance steps into a guided journey.

The interactive format is ideal for these uses: students explore at their own pace, discover the spaces and services by doing, and remember more than they would from a traditional guided tour.

Concrete examples

A library discovery game

Created by Cécile Diet of the Besançon education authority, this interactive game was designed for the school's open day. Prospective students and their families explore the library independently through an interactive path they can follow on a tablet or phone. At each step they discover a space (reading corner, computer stations, book collection, careers area) and answer a question to move on.

The project smoothed out the open day: visitors no longer waited for an adult to be free for a tour, they simply started the path. The game was also used to welcome new classes at the start of the school year.

"The time spent building the path was paid back by the time saved afterwards." Cécile Diet, school librarian, Besançon education authority

An interactive culture-pass guide

This interactive path guides students through discovering and using the French Pass Culture on the ADAGE platform. Instead of a PDF tutorial nobody reads, students follow an interactive path that walks them through it step by step: creating the account, browsing the cultural offer, booking an activity.

At each step, choices are offered depending on the student's situation (age, school, interests). The path adapts and provides the relevant information. It is an original use of Moiki EDU showing that the tool goes well beyond fiction.

Beyond the library: guidance and school life

Moiki EDU interactive paths can support many other moments of school life, particularly as part of a project-mode rollout:
